The Germans always make good stuff – Backpack Bike!

Well, as my idol Vince always said, you know the Germans always make good stuff.

Apparently there is a German cycle product for people who would like to hike up mountains and then coast their way down. Doesn’t sound all that bad actualy….but I sure wouldn’t have thought of it. The Bergmoench is a two wheel scooter type bicycle contraption that morphs from backpack into rapid mountain descension device. It lacks a saddle but does offer the extremely awkward looking kneel position (or standing). The video is worth a look to check it out or at least to check out the slightly bizarre monk based advertising they use

Actually Koga is Dutch, not German. The name Bergmönch is German though. Don’t ask me why.
