    Funny… but not a useful number. The real number is probably half that… since you’re going to need space to get to and from your bike and other bike owners aren’t going to want their bikes knocked over.

    It’s like motorcycles… how many fit in a parking space? How many actually share?

    Actually the number is far greater… because these are Brompton folding bikes which are almost always stored inside in a corner, behind a desk etc. So they don’t take any public space at all for parking.

    I think this was more of an experiment/fun than anything, nothing to be applied to the real world.
    I like your point though Henry, they take up zero additional space realistically.
    I saw a Brompton for the first time yesterday at Rain City Bikes in Vancouver and it was fantastic. The fit and finish is very high quality and the fold was surprisingly compact to me. For a commute bike I would definitely go towards Brompton.
