Bought a Pocket Llama in December 2011, just about to finish my tour of Japan (4 days to go).Had nothing but problems with the headset on this bike.Kept coming loose every day, eventually on closer inspection found headset threading was badly damaged most looked like it had been done in manufacturing stage.Bike Friday customer service was not of much service.Sent photos of thread (not my best shots) they staed " the threads look ok, will send off to our engineer for his opinion" shit I am an engineer.Fobbed off by a clerk, give serious thought to buying a Bike Friday before doing so.

I've had my saddle stolen before and it only took them 5 minutes while I popped into a shop. It's worrying how easy they can take it. I will have to try this lock out. I've been putting off using my bike since as I don't want to have to pay out for another saddle.

Thanks for the great idea and very serendipitous. I was in the LBS today and they want (choke) $300 for a work stand that does not even include their shop-grade clamp? I've been mulling over the bike stand clamp idea for awhile and yours looks great! I think I'll do it. I would also suggest that you could attach a straight section of pipe to the clamp which you could clamp into a bench vise. I sort of do that already with a short section of pipe which I hang me seat from. I suppose there are a bunch or ways for creating a stand for a clamp. Thanks.

If you add a 90 at the top with a 1" nipple into the flange mount, you could mount it to the floor joist and then it would swing up out of the way when not in use. You could also put a union near the clamp which could be loosened to allow the clamp to rotate. Great design, BTW!

I was mistaken. The builder of our bridge was American Bridge Company, who also built San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge, and not Golden Gate. The initial project was already prepared to handle with trains, and a tunnel was built. This tunnel is used from 1999 on.
